We identified 'the hare' as a recognisable symbol of Scottish folklore and were inspired by the narrative and aesthetic possibilities of The Wickerman (1973). Our design integrates this particular reference point with an exploration of superstitions and folklore specific to the North East (farming and fishing communities) of Scotland.
